Our Impact

26,000 Lives Changed.

Transforming Lives from the Frontlines to the Diaspora

At NILECAPD, our impact is measured not just in numbers, but in the restored dignity of families and the renewed hope of communities. From the rural villages of South Sudan to the streets of Calgary, we have witnessed the profound transformation that occurs when peacebuilding is paired with practical, life-saving support. Our work has successfully diverted youth from the risks of gang involvement and homelessness in Canada, while simultaneously providing a lifeline to those displaced by conflict in East Africa.

Through our holistic programming, we have seen former child soldiers transition into professional engineers and survivors of gender-based violence become empowered advocates for women’s rights. In Calgary, our "Family Dinners" and street outreach programs have become a bridge back to society for the unhoused, facilitating guided family reunifications that move individuals out of the shelter system and back into the care of their community. Whether it is providing clean water (WASH) to underserved regions or offering trauma-informed therapy to newcomers, our interventions are designed to foster long-term resilience and self-reliance.
